Favre: Seri Will Be Professional About Failed Barcelona Move

Nice manager, Lucien Favre believes Jean Micheal Seri has come to terms with his failed move to Barcelona and expects him to be a professional about it.
Seri was close to joining Barcelona last month for a fee of €40 million, before the La Liga club pulled out of the move and the Ivory Coast international hit out at Nice for letting the deal fall through.
However, the club’s president , Jean-Pierre Rivere revealed Barcelona president, Josep Maria Bartomeu apologised for pulling out of the move.
Seri sat out his club’s last match, but featured for his country during the international break, leading to talks of discontent on his part, a notion Favre has quashed.
“I’m not worried too much about that,” Favre said ahead of Saturday’s Derby de la Cote d’Azur at home to Ligue 1 champions Monaco.
“I have not seen him since his departure with Ivory Coast. He should be here today [Thursday]. We’ll see.
“He played two matches, in Gabon, he travelled a lot. We will see his physical state, his freshness.
“But the rest, in the long term, he will come back. He will continue to show his qualities, as he did against Guingamp. He was almost there in all good situations.”
